Grooves played on a live drum kit were sampled, chopped, and pitched in an Akai S3000 for that classic tone software samplers can’t match. A Novation Bass Station 2 alongside synthesiser-like EMU and Yamaha samplers provided speaker-shaking bass. And what better machine to provide truly D&B sounding pads than a custom programmed Roland JV-2080? Each sound was processed through a golden-era Studiomaster analogue desk, gracing the waveforms with its thick preamp tone and excellent EQ before being captured by a mastering grade Metric Halo 3D audio interface. Also used were hardware Oakley-Moog filters and a tape deck.

While the focus is primarily on the melodic end of the Drum & Bass spectrum, this pack is beneficial to everyone who likes a bit of character in their productions.
