Voltage Source is a Serum 2 preset library built around one idea: bringing the raw, unpredictable character of the Moog DFAM into your DAW with as much authenticity as possible.

The DFAM is a semi-modular analogue percussion synthesizer beloved for its thick oscillators, 8-step sequencer and percussive nature. It’s the kind of instrument that produces sounds that are difficult to replicate in software.

Until now. The result is a preset pack that doesn’t just sound like the DFAM. It works like it too.

SAMPLED FROM THE SOURCE

These are not synthesised approximations. Wavetables and noise have been directly sampled, sequencers and envelopes have been painstakingly recreated.
Voltage Source has taken the complex and nuanced circuitry of Moog’s DFAM and translated into Serum 2, giving you access to the unmistakable sound of analogue hardware.

BUILT TO BEHAVE LIKE THE HARDWARE

Every macro, every LFO, every envelope has been designed with one question in mind: how does this feel on the hardware? The 8 macros map directly to the most expressive controls on the DFAM’s front panel. VCO Decay, VCA Decay, VCF Decay, FM Amount and more, so performing and shaping sounds feels immediate and hands-on.

27 PRESETS. INFINITE STARTING POINTS.

Every one of the 27 presets is a fully sequenced patch. Load it, press play, and it runs. Each one is also a starting point. Tweak the macros, redraw the LFO steps, adjust the oscillator tuning. The architecture is already there; the sounds are yours to shape.

Also included is the DFAM Init patch. A clean, unprocessed recreation of the hardware’s default state. No effects, no heavy modulation. Just the raw DFAM signal chain inside Serum 2, ready for you to build from scratch.

• To use these presets you must already own the Xfer Serum 2 plugin v2.1.4 or higher. No plugins included.
