Mattia Cellotto Crunch Mode WAV
Crunch Mode is the result of a series of recording sessions made with a variety of vegetables, fresh bread, pizza crust and a selection of frozen goods.
The library was originally created to document the differences in sound between a frozen and a non frozen vegetable. It’s been interesting to notice how celery’s round sound for example drops with temperature to be replaced with a high cracking texture.
After the first sessions I decided to introduce baked bread and pizza crust to bring something new to the collection, to then go back to frozen goods with a last recording session featuring frozen ice sheets.
All 230 Sounds were recorded with a Fostex FR2, a Rode NTG3, a MXL 770 and a Tascam DR05, edited and mixed together at 24 bit, 96 KHz.
