Heavy Industry Evolved is the next evolution of the original Heavy Industry library—rebuilt as a powerful, performance-driven instrument for the full version of Kontakt 8.3. What began as a collection of dark atmospheres, drones, transitions, and industrial effects has been transformed into a dynamic engine for shaping tension, impact, and evolving sonic landscapes in real time.
At its core lies a custom wavetable synthesis engine that unlocks new harmonic and textural depth from the original recordings. Harsh industrial tones, cinematic ambiences, and evolving drones can now be reshaped, layered, and animated with precision. By combining wavetable synthesis with multi-layered sample playback, modulation, filtering, envelopes, and EQ, the instrument moves far beyond static playback—delivering constantly shifting, expressive sound design.
Building on the legacy of the original library—known for its intensity, character, and dark cinematic tone—Heavy Industry Evolved expands those foundations into a fully playable instrument capable of generating dystopian atmospheres, evolving textures, and high-impact cinematic moments.
SNAPSHOT PRESETS
Heavy Industry Evolved includes 100 newly crafted snapshot presets that reimagine the original material as a modern scoring tool. From deep, evolving drones and eerie ambiences to aggressive industrial hits and cinematic transitions, each preset is designed for immediate impact while remaining flexible for detailed sound design across film, television, games, and experimental music.
BUILT FOR MOVEMENT
At the heart of the instrument is a custom wavetable synthesizer powered by bespoke wavetables created with the OSS Wavetable Creator by Ocean Swift Synthesis. The synth layer can reinforce tonal centers, introduce rhythmic modulation, or add shimmering high-frequency detail above the organic sample layers.
This hybrid design merges the depth of recorded sound with the flexibility of modern synthesis—enabling complex, evolving tonal movement that continuously transforms over time.
