Smoke Season is a Los Angeles-based indie rock band that regularly incorporates one-of-a-kind vocal sampling and custom synth patches into their tracks. They’ll be sharing some of the withsounds.com Smoke Season lives by one rule: normal is fucking boring. Gabrielle Bianco considers herself a mad scientist, with a passion for tinkering with both the analog and the digital: she has built light setups and stage props for Smoke Season’s music videos and live shows; she also can program a mean code script though has vowed to use her hacking skills for good. Jason Rosen expresses his brand of abnormality with fashion and grooves, never letting either stagnate. He laments the limits of menswear, opting to flaunt items from Gabby’s closet because fuck gender stereotypes too. Smoke Season’s music represents the duo as distinct individuals, adept lovers, and powerhouse performers; to know their art is to truly see them. Their music has earned millions of streams on Spotify and has landed the duo several high-profile syncs; recently, they partnered with MQA audio for the Artist Voices ad campaign and they will be the face of an upcoming Budweiser commercial. Their most recent single “Sweetest Thing,” recently hit #1 on the Hype Machine Popular Charts less than a month after it’s release in June 2018. Their live performances invite fans to share in the full-body experience of their music, something that can easily get lost on a recorded track. They have toured the country several times, with appearances at SXSW and also at the Ticketmaster Summit in London last year. Seeing them live in concert is a multimedia, and multi-sensory, experience; aside from the hand-built lights and set decor, they craft their synthesizers to set them apart with unique sounds that you will only hear from Smoke Season.
